Impressão 3D @ eTwinning Coding and Robotics

Say 1... 2... 3D: A short introduction on 3D modeling and printing for eTwinning projects.

Not magic, but science, art and engineering: 3D printing, also known as addictive manufacturing, is an amazing technology that is on the cusp of reaching consumer status, being already established in several industries. Around the world, educators are starting to experiment with it, bringing these awesome contraptions into their classrooms, trying new ideas, developing methodologies and creating maker cultures in education. Within this workshop, we hope to spark our fellow eTwinners creativity, showing that 3D printing is easy and can be very useful in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engeneering, Arts, Maths) projects, giving our students the ability to turn digital abstractions into physical objects.

Topics:
- Nuts and bolts of 3D printing: hardware, software, workflow;
- How can I...: finding and creating 3D models for printing;
- What can I use this for?: Ideas on educational 3D printing, grassroots projects, eTwinning challenges.
